The World Tree is a motif present in several religions and mythologies, particularly Indo-European religions, Siberian religions, and Native American religions. Is is seen as the source of all wisdom through the ages.
The World Tree is represented as a colossal tree which both supports the heavens and connects the heavens with the terrestrial world. Through its roots, the World Tree also supports the underworld.
In the Iranian mythology, Gaokerena or white Haoma, is a tree that while living, would certify continuance of life in universe.
"Bas Tokhmak" is another world tree with remedial attributes as it is retentive of all herbal seeds, and is the destroyer of sorrow.
