I was greatly influenced by the students of the Lyme Art Academy, CT, a school known for its contemporary focus on the history of representational and figurative art. The graduates supplemented their fledgling art careers by sharing their philosophies and talents by teaching in the local community. It was through them I built the foundation of my art.
Other influences were the many classes and workshops I attended. Through them I learned to use the different art materials.
The final and probably the biggest influence was the Denver Students Art League in particular the class called "Finding Your Voice in Art". The instructor had faith in me and my vision and pushed me, encouraged me ad supported me so that I did find my voice in what I wanted to do and how to do it.
