Ed’s style is contemporary realism. He first developed his interest in art at the galleries of the Art Institute of Chicago as a young boy. He currently makes his home in Castle Rock, Colorado where he and his wife have resided for the past 14 years. After graduating from the University of Chicago and completing his military service, he lived and worked in many different locales throughout the U.S (California, New York, Colorado, the Midwest) and a number of years in Europe. His choice of subject matter reflects those travels and his primary choice of medium is egg tempera. Essentially self-taught, at retirement from an academic career. His work is shown in juried shows and exhibitions throughout the Midwest and the rocky mountain region.
