Daniel is a Chickasaw bladesmith. He began forging blades in 1989. Since his first SWAIA market in 1996, he has won 6 1st place awards along with numerous 2nd and 3rd places. In 1999 he won the challenge award for his artwork. Daniel gathers found materials to fashion each unique piece. In 2009 Daniel was inducted into the Chickasaw Hall of Fame and in 2012 was named Honored One at the Red Earth Festival in Oklahoma City. Daniel has published four books of poetry.
