I always wanted to paint oils on canvas.I love oil paintings! I've always been drawn to them for some reason. I've purchased a few in my day. So I decided to paint on canvas when I retired.Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to retire early. As I got older I found out that all of my mother's siblings could draw! Only one of her sisters took it to the next level. She became a well known artist in Lewes, DE. I never went to school for art. I bought myself all materials I needed to start painting. so I sat down and started to paint. I loved it! Later I decided I wanted to become a better artist and to be the best I could be! So I had some private lessons with a local well known artist! I also attended some of her workshops for awhile.She is such an amazing artist her artwork is breathtaking! She advised me to never stop painting and that I was better than I considered I was. So I still paint! There's nothing more gratifying than someone enjoying your artwork!To this day I look at one of my paintings and can't believe I painted it!I hope everyone enjoys them!
