Epstein’s work is nationally known. Water, Woman and Wonder are central inspirations. Most recently the Entities Series explores spirit forms that began appearing in his work after a trip to Peru. "Where Water Was" is a series of contemporary landscapes inspired by a move from the Gulf Coast of Florida to the mountains of Colorado. Epstein has created large public sculpture ranging as tall as 33 ft. in Florida, Georgia, California, New Mexico and Louisiana.
Before moving to Colorado, Rob was recognized by the New York Times among the top artists in Florida. His work has been exhibited in important corporate, private, and museum collections including the National Endowment for the Arts, The Gulf Coast Museum of Art, The Salvador Dali Museum, Raymond James, Indigo Hotels, McKibbon Hotels, and the Lakewood Cultural Center.
Epstein has been featured in the media numerous times. His recent commission, “Lady of the Gulf”, is Epstein’s second lost at sea memorial sculpture and honors those lost in the Deepwater Horizon disaster and other maritime accidents in the Louisiana waters.
In Colorado, Epstein's "Future Anthropology" was recently exhibited by the Lakewood Cultural Center in conjunction with solo exhibition of paintings and small sculpture from the "Where Water Was" series.
Epstein now calls Lakewood, CO home where he lives with his wife, Leslie and their dog, Milo.
