Since 1991, Matt Philleo has been drawing and painting portraits on commission and for exhibition. Utilizing the traditional glazing technique adapted for acrylics, his artwork is vibrant, detailed, and realistic. Many of his works tell a story, based on personal struggles, where he has gone through darkness and experienced light, through his faith as a Christian, and the revelation of God's promises in the Bible. An award-winning professional artist, his work is represented in collections worldwide. He also teaches artists the acrylic glazing technique at Realistic Acrylic Portrait School. He lives in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with his wife, three children, and Labradoodle.
