Florence Moonan
Artist Florence Moonan, (BFA, The College of NJ) noted for her tactile abstract venetian plaster on panel paintings, is a New Jersey artist with decades of art-making experience. A career dating from the late 1980s includes painting, mixed media and sculpture. Her work has been selected for numerous juried, solo, invited, and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the United States, and has won awards at Goggleworks Center for the Arts, D & R Greenway Land Trust, Phillips Mill, Ellarslie Open IX, Golden Key Art International, and others. She was selected for the 2017-2018 New Jersey Emerging Artists Series (NJEA) at Monmouth Museum. Her work is held in the permanent collection of The College of New Jersey, the County of Mercer, NJ, BARC Developmental Services, and the Family Service Association of Bucks County, PA. Moonan is included in Doris Brande's book, Artists of the River Towns. She was honored to be the featured artist of the month on the NJ State Council on the Arts' Discover JERSEY ARTS virtual gallery, February 2016.
