Pete Davies Art

Sussex Flowers

My inspiration came from Duncan Grant, the English post -impressionist and member of the Bloomsbury Set. I was fortunate enough to have met him along time ago when I had tea and often dinner in his company. The only thing that springs to mind now about that time is that he liked junket! The picture is warm and homely while the colours convey an impression of antique, fragility. I hope you like it.
