Enchanting

Recently I have started painting on vintage textiles. This large format painting is one such work and it comes with a story. In 1960 my parents moved into a four room house that dated back to the civil war era in Maryland. It came with a lopsided barn where they installed their numerous goats. Life was good. While perusing my mother's assortment of collected fabrics this one caught my eye, "that old thing? it was hanging in the barn window when we bought the house, I have no idea why I held onto it". Well, I do. Here is Enchanting, a gorgeous gray surrounded by painted cabbage roses on very vintage fabric, circa who-knows-when. Framed in a fantastic custom Larson-Juhl Italian wood frame called "Moonglow".

36 x 48" oil on vintage fabric framed in 2.5" custom frame

**please note this is a very large painting, as always, if you are in The Charleston, SC , Raleigh, NC or Baltimore, MD areas I can probably meet you to deliver, just let me know.

Otherwise, it can be shipped.
