Three River Cities
In this Landsat satellite image over northeastern Kansas, the land is a mosaic of cropland (tan), grassland (green), and woodlands (red/brown). In this image, Kansas City, Lawrence, and Topeka are clearly linked by the intensely farmed Kaw River valley (and heavily commuted I-70). Also visible are the reservoirs of Clinton (left middle), Perry (upper left) and the retired sunflower ammunition plant (teal green between Lawrence and KC. Image is located at 38.9618, -95.2351.
