"SLEEPING VALLEY"

PAINTING ON SILK, WOVEN
2013
STATEMENT
2000 feet up is my point of view , its hills and unusual rock formations created by the force of nature presents an otherworldly appearance and offering miles of scenic beauty.
Blue Mountain is located in the Shenandoah Valley.
The Shenandoah River passes winding below the hill side.
A blue –hued morning mist hugs the mountains air and winter vegetation and their subdued colors seem brighter on a gray day and the fog lies like a soft white blanket over the Valley.
Winter is special, the air is cold, it is solitude and seems like a fairyland to dream about.
