For this picture I tried to depict an African lady of high status that had been subjected to a life of slavery (noted by the scars on her back). Despite her unfortunate turn in life, her pose and her jewelry symbolize her unbreakable and impenetrable spirit. Circumstances cannot identify her true identity- only she can.
