An Enso is a painted circle that is done in a free spirit, with a free hand. It is meant to be meditative and inspire creativity. My quilt guild challenged us to draw an Enso and create a quilted interpretation. I printed my Enso on fabric. Mine is an Enso within an Enso within an Enso. It reminds me of ripples on water and also the ever-seeing eye. I used an abstract layering technique with tulle over the top.
