Rob Carroll Art

I Will Gladly Pay You Tuesday

Sometimes a piece of art seemingly decides its own course. This painting started as an oil and cold wax abstracted pop painting. My painting "Give Peace a Chance" had a Big Mac in it but eliminated it. I painted a Big Mac in this painting and started thinking about where to go next. It occurred to me that if Wimpy were around today he would probably be salivating over a Big Mac. The dots are a bit of a homage to Lichtenstein. The painting is finished in black gesso. It is signed on the reverse.
