Corn Pollen Mountains

The natural dyes used in this textile are subtle yet vibrant. The pictorial imagery of mountains from my homeland interacts with the corn pollen-colored skies. The textile uses Navajo tapestry weaving techniques to create both sharp linear geometry and curved angles. The dyes used are Indigo, Madder root, onion skins, Marigold flowers and Navajo tea.
