JPK and the Old Seer

Mixed media: Venetian plaster, tints charcoal, iridescent gold pigment, and collage on cradleboard.

16 x 12 inches

JPK and the Old Seer”, a follow-up piece to “JPK: The Pretender”, offers a thoughtful Interplay of classicism and abstraction, seamlessly merging the past with modern artistic techniques. Measuring 16” by 12”, this mixed media piece is a playful nod to history and personal memory. The artwork incorporates whimsical collage elements inspired by a serendipitous encounter with an image altered by a notable history professor from decades past. The innovative use of venetian plaster, along with added materials like charcoal, graphite pencil, and iridescent gold pigment sticks, showcases a unique artistic process, blending classical motifs with contemporary expression to create a memorable piece.
