Bleeding Heart

An incredible, vibrant watercolor is this Bleeding Heart Flower on High quality watercolor paper and high quality watercolor paint.
Fun Facts:
• This beauty has been lining forested areas in North America since its origin and, also has origins in China and Asia. The history usage and toxicity are as bewildering as the geographical origin connection of this lovely flower.
• Native Americans used it medicinally yet there are multiply negative symptoms if ingested. For this bouquet loving girl the Bleeding Heart will be admired from the garden, thank you.
• Even in the emotional description of this flower there is dichotomy. It’s mythical past is a torrid story of love lost and death and the current days value is unconditional love and broken heartedness.

I will hold this flower near to my heart in thought as painting it was one of the tremendous learning curves for me. Such a large surface of silky texture on a paper that absorbs color in uneven sections. I also found the details of this flower incredible! It’s a bubble with a portion protruding from it as though it was an error.

There is no confusion here. This is an incredibly beautiful and intense flower and a pleasure to put on paper.
